Fond du Lac American Legion Baseball

07/13/2016 - Big Week Starts with Big Win

Post 75 escapes with 6-3 win

The Fond du lac Legion Post 75 started slow Tuesday night with lifeless at bats but did just enough to pull out a 6-3 sloppy win over the Post from Appleton. Starter Jason Schneider tossed a solid 5 innings allowing just 2 runs. Peyton Head came on to finish the game allowing one unearned run in 2 innings.
The big blow for the Post came in the bottom of the sixth off the bat of Reggie Hernandez who laced a single to right scoring the go ahead run. The boys would tack on 2 more to secure the 6-3 win. With the win Post 75 goes to 9-1 in league with 4 more games this week to finish out the regular season.

Wednesday the boys will be back at it with a road affair with the same Appleton team this time in Appleton at 5:30

Thursday Fond du lac will travel to Neenah hoping for revenge to the team that gave the post their only loss of the league season. Game time set for 5:30.

Saturday the boys will finish out the regular season with a double header versus Kimberly at Herr/Baker field at Marian University. Game times set at 3/5:30.

Wednesday starts the U17 Regionals in Sheboygan, with Post 75 playing Oshkosh West in the first round at 5:30pm at Wildwood Baseball Park in Sheboygan. Wish them luck in their pursuit to win Regionals and qualify for State in Plover next week.

Come on out and support these kids. They are one great group. Hope to see you all at the park this week.
